Man robbed of Rs. 12 lakh

BANGALORE: Two motorcycle-borne men robbed a man of Rs. 12 lakh near a bridge connecting the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor with Hosur Road on Tuesday.

According to police, Satyanarayana, an employee of a finance firm in Govindashetty Palya near Electronics City, had come to the city to collect cash. He took Rs. 6 lakh from one person in Gandhinagar and then collected Rs. 6 lakh from another person in Hanumanta Nagar. He kept it in a bag and started driving towards the firm.

Near the BMIC road bridge, the two motorcycle-borne men, who were following Satyanarayana on a motorcycle, pushed him. Satyanarayana lost balance and fell from the vehicle. The two men went away with the bag containing cash before he could regain his composure.

The Parappana Agrahara police suspected involvement of persons known to Satyanarayana.
