BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday disposed of three election petitions saying that the High Court or the Supreme Court could not interfere in the conduct of the elections or in election matters. When the cases came up, government advocate Sharat Chandra submitted that courts did not have the competence or jurisdiction to go into election cases once the election was notified. Moreover, the elections had already concluded. Disposed ofWhile Justice N. Kumar disposed of one petition, Justice B.V. Nagaratna disposed of two other petitions with the observations that courts could not go into electoral issues once the process of election was set into motion.
