Bangalore: Commissioner for Public Instruction G. Kumar Naik was noncommittal on the issue of taking action on de-recognition of schools. Asked why the department was sending out warnings to parents not to admit their children to schools which were de-recognised over a year ago for flouting the State’s language policy, rather than close them down, he said: “Give me some more days to tackle the issue.” He said it involved “policy issues” and needed time to be resolved. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
