Row over food scheme harming State: NCP

KOLLAM: Nationalist Congress Party general secretary Koivila Ramachandran has said that the Left Democratic Front government rule is converting God’s Own Country into a land of starvation.

He was inaugurating a conference organised by the Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) to register protest against the attitude of the State government towards the food security scheme.

Mr. Ramachandran said that the political tug-of-war between the CPI(M) and the CPI over the food security scheme was reaching ominous proportions. The government appeared to be least bothered about the food problems of the people.

District president of the NYC Valathungal Sriraj presided.
