Training for girl children

Under Rotary’s ‘Project Selvi’

CHENNAI: Rotary Club’s ‘Project Selvi,’ an initiative to empower girl children, was recently inaugurated at the National Agro Foundation, Centre for Rural Development at Illedu in Kancheepuram district.

A press release said that the project, supported by the Rotary Club of Madras Temple City, would offer training to girl children of Chunampet area initially.

District Chairman elect of “Project Selvi” Babu Peran said that the children would be trained in spoken English and personality development that would empower them and improve job opportunities.
