HYDERABAD: City-based infrastructure companies have repeated their feat, excelling in their financial performance in the last fiscal. IVRCL Group, which is into infrastructure projects , crossed billion-dollar business by clocking a turnover of Rs. 4,604.30 crore, a growth of 71 per cent compared to 2006-07. Its net profit stood at Rs. 408.90 crore, a 130 per cent increase over that of the previous year (Rs. 177.50 crore). It announced a dividend of 70 per cent (Rs. 1.40 paise per share of Rs. 2 each). Lanco Infratech posted a growth of 102 per cent in its operations income from Rs. 160.57 crore (06-07) to Rs. 324.12 crore. . The net profit went up by 82 per cent to Rs. 48.45 crore. Lanco Infratech runs the 368-mega watt gas-based power plant near Vijayawada. The company secured contract for construction of two super critical thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh (3,300 MW) and Rs. 8,000-crore container port project in Kerala. Nagarjuna Construction Company posted a turnover of Rs. 3,659 crore, up by 24 per cent from last year’s Rs. 2,952 crore .
