B. R. Kundal to be inducted into State Cabinet

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary B. R. Kundal on Saturday resigned from his post paving the way for his induction as a Cabinet Minister in the State’s Ghulam Nabi Azad government on Monday, top official sources said. Mr. Kundal’s resignation was accepted by the government tonight and S. S. Kapoor has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the State.

He is scheduled to be administered the oath of office and secrecy as the Minister for Power in the Azad government on Monday at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar.

Mr. Kundal, who hails from Jammu, was due to retire in October this year. — PTI
