NEW DELHI: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath has said that the Centre will take more measures to check inflation, while the steps taken earlier to check the rise in prices will show results in a few weeks. “The government will take more measures to deal with inflation. Already we have taken a number of measures and more steps will be taken to contain inflation. A roll-back of export duty on steel and some other similar measures could be taken soon to check inflation,” Mr. Nath told reporters at the annual export award function of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (Apeda) here on Friday evening. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
