Mayank takes Sonnet home

NEW DELHI: A fluent unbeaten 93 by Mayank Sidana powered Sonnet Club past Young Friends Club and into the semifinals of the 32nd Lala Raghubir Singh cricket tournament at the Modern School ground, Barakhamba Road, on Tuesday.

The scores: Young Friends CC 189 for seven in 20 overs (Punit Mehra 40 not out) lost to Sonnet CC 195 for three in 20 overs (Mayank Sidana 93 n.o., Rahul Dewan 57).

ITC 153 for nine in 20 overs (Michael Vishal 45) lost to Collage Group 156 for five in 19.3 overs (Abhinav Kataria 51, Anuj Kumar 45, P. Tehlan 41).

Rohtak Road Gymkhana 200 for six in 20 overs (Rahul Yadav 68, Tarang Gupta 52) bt Hargopal Academy 150 for five in 20 overs (Milind Kumar 83 n.o.).

Tata Capital 95 for nine in 20 overs lost to Malviya CC 96 for three in 13.3 overs.
