Randhawa remains steady in ranking

New Delhi: The tied 10th finish in the European Tour’s Celtic Manor Wales Open last week has helped Jeev Milkha Singh rise by one rung to 90th in the latest Official World Golf Rankings.

The Chandigarh pro has 1.614 average points in the latest list.

Jyoti Randhawa continued to be the highest ranked Indian in the list as he held on to the 72nd spot despite missing the cut at Wales Open.

The next Indian in the rankings was the Orlando-based Arjun Atwal, who dropped three spots to 188th with 0.920 average points.

Kolkata pro SSP Chowrasia (0.905 average points) and Delhi youngster Shiv Kapur (0.624 average points) fell to 191 and 270 respectively after missing the cut at Wales Open.

At the top, American Tiger Woods continued to hold the numero uno position for 498th week and his lead over second-placed compatriot Phil Mickelson stood at 9.69 points average points. — PTI
