HYDERABAD: The Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti decided to chalk out its future course of action after Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s proposed visit to New Delhi on June 12 and 13. MRPS president Manda Krishna who called on the Chief Minister on Tuesday afternoon told reporters that Dr. Reddy had decided to take up the scheduled caste categorisation issue with the Centre during his two-day visit. The Chief Minister had, in fact, invited the MRPS leaders to New Delhi, coinciding with his visit, to present their case to the Centre. Referring to the incident involving the attack on Telugu daily Andhra Jyoti, Mr. Manda Krishna said a delegation of representatives from the scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and backward classes would meet Dr. Reddy on Wednesday asking him to initiate action against the management. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
