Little ones make all the difference

Twin cities witnessed an overdose of World Environment Day observance on Thursday, with organisations, institutes, non-governmental organisations and government agencies coming out with their own ‘take’ on the issue of carbon emissions. What could have been a truly ‘authoritative’ gathering, organised by none other than APPCB at Ravindra Bharathi, also turned-out to be another exercise in tokenism, with speaker after speaker belting out already know n facts about carbon emissions and global warming. The saving grace, of course, was the presence of kids and their intelligent questions to persons manning the stalls outside the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium, who found it quite tough to answer.

Nobody bothered to do their homework before attending a meeting on World Environment Day, with theme on carbon emissions.
