Record entries for State TT tournament

CHENNAI: A record 620 entries have been received for the fifth Jiwan Mal Nahata Memorial State-ranking table tennis tournament, the first of the season, to be organised by the Centre Court Table Tennis Club, at the Nehru Stadium from June 6 to 8.

This is the fourteenth year in a row that the Centre Court TTC is organising a State-ranking tournament.

The seedings:

Men: 1. Sivananda Seshadri; 2. R.S. Raja; 3. R. Rajesh; 4. K. Srivatsa; 5. M. Subash.

Women: 1. A.V. Nivedita; 2. N. Sathya Bama; 3. K. Nishanti Kumaravel; 4 U.V. Agni; 5. N. Arulselvi.
