Case against seven

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Seven persons, who objected to quarrying of sand in the Gundar river, have been booked for having assaulted the operator of an earth mover. Villagers of Sethupuram have been protesting sand mining as they fear that their drinking water source and irrigation would be affected. Seven of them had gone to the quarry in the wee hours on Friday and prevented quarrying.
