Security beefed up

About 5,000 policemen will be deployed in various parts of the city on Saturday to ensure that normal life is not hampered during the bandh called by the Left parties. Commissioner of Police R. Sekar said the bandobust duty would begin at 4 a.m. to ensure that essential services are maintained. Police pickets would be set up at bus depots, termini, and railway stations.
