Child labour case against software professional

HYDERABAD: Alert passengers aboard the Godavari Express helped rescue a child labourer from her overbearing employers.

Passengers who noticed a couple ill-treating a girl reportedly employed to take care of their infant, called up authorities here. Officials waited in Secunderabad station for the train to arrive and later registered a case against a software professional and his wife under provisions of the Anti-Child Labour Act on Saturday. Authorities said the software professional and his wife argued with them saying that the girl, identified as Deepa from Ghaziabad, was their relative.
