Congress sympathiser Vangaveeti Santan Kumar on Saturday was remanded till June 23 for failing to attend the trial of the case of attack on Telugu Desam Party leader Katragadda Nagamalleswara Rao alias Babu. As Santan Kumar failed to attend the trial on Thursday, the court issued an arrest warrant. Since he was already undergoing imprisonment in the city in connection with a cheating case, he was produced in the court on Saturday on a Prisoner of Transit (PT) warrant.
