Youth commits suicide

PUDUKOTTAI: 28-year-old youth Senthil (28) allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Kattrampatti near Alangudi on Sunday. Family dispute was said to be the reason for his extreme step. The Vadagadu police have registered a case.

Dies of burns

M. Prabakaran (22) of Sivanandapuram committed self-immolation at his residence in Sivanandapuram. Prabakaran who doused his body with kerosene and set it afire on Friday was admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital where he died on Sunday, police said.
