TADEPALLIGUDEM: The maiden meeting of the Board of Directors of Andhra Pradesh Horticulture University held here at Venkataramannaugdem near here on Sunday identified eight thrust areas in the fields of teaching, research and extension relating to horticulture, according to university Vice-Chancellor S.D. Sikhamani. Briefing the media on the outcome of the meeting, he listed out the thrust areas which included increase of productivity and sustainability of productivity in adverse seasonal conditions such as drought and salinity, higher and quality yield with less production cost and promotion of export-oriented crops.
