Couple killed

KARUR: A couple were killed in a road accident at Viswanathapuri near here on Monday. Police said Sekar (35) of Viswanathapuri was taking his wife Tamilarasi(30), who is a noon meal staff at Government Primary School, Salapalayam, to work when a State Transport Corporation bus from Mettupalayam to Tiruchi hit their moped.

While Sekar was killed on the spot, Tamilarasi died at a private hospital here.
