Engineering college to be set up at Tirukkuvalai

NAGAPATTINAM: A 25-acre site has been identified at Tirukkuvalai in Nagapattinam district for establishing the new government engineering college announced by the Government and a proposal sent to the Government for approval for construction, according to Collector M. Jayaraman.

The Collector who inspected the Anjuham Muthuvelar Government Higher Secondary School building campus at Tirukkuvalai on Sunday, where the college would start functioning from September this year, had instructed Public Works Department authorities to provide all facilities for the first-year students.

New buildings

Mr. Jayaraman also inspected the places at Kilvelur and Tirukkuvalai where new taluk office buildings were being constructed.

The Collector, accompanied by several district officials including A.Annadurai, District Revenue Officer, inspected the progress of various development works.
