TIRUCHI: Suresh’s 49 was the highlight of Hawks CC’s 17-run win over Tough Guys CC in a pre-quarterfinal encounter of the H.H. Rajah of Pudukottai Mannar Memorial Trophy State-level T20 cricket tournament here on Monday.

The scores: Pre-quarterfinals: Hawks CC 106 in 19 overs (Suresh 49, Ramesh three for 15, Prashanth three for three) bt Tough Guys CC 89 in 19 overs (Karthik three for 17, Rajnarayanan three for 18); MAP CC 124 in 19.2 overs (Suresh 38, Senthil three for 16, Parthiban two for 27, Arun two for 27, Rajesh two for 28) bt Kaliswari CC 112 for eight in 20 overs (Saravanan 46, Jagannathan three for 26, Sundar two for 23).
