Sudeep, Shib score unbeaten centuries

Bangalore: Powered by unbeaten centuries from Sudeep Chatterjee and Shib Shankar Roy, East defeated Central by nine wickets in a Col. Hemu Adhikari Trophy under-19 inter-zonal cricket match that concluded at the RSI ground here on Monday.

All-India Universities defeated defending champion West by an innings and six runs.

The scores: Central 278 in 56.1 overs and 205 in 59.1 overs (Tanuj Sharma 131, Kundan Singh six for 89) lost to East 274 in 77.3 overs and 210 for one in 39.2 overs (Sudeep Chatterjee 100 n.o., Shib Shankar Roy 100 n.o.); All-India Universities 333 in 96 overs bt West 150 in 48.5 overs and 177 in 62.2 overs (Sufiyan Sheikh 71, Vishal Vasoya four for 58).
