Stipend increased

HYDERABAD: The Social Welfare Department has issued orders increasing the seats, rate of stipend, amount towards purchase of books and furniture and the income limit, for law graduates belonging to SC, ST and BC communities.

According to G.O. 109, the monthly stipend has been doubled to Rs.1,000 as also the amount for purchasing books and furniture as onetime grant in the first year to Rs.6,000.

The number of seats for SCs has been increased from 92 to 164 at the rate of eight seats for each district. – Special Correspondent
