Madhapur SIs suspended

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Police Commissioner S. Prabhakar Reddy on Wednesday suspended Sub-Inspectors of Madhapur police station -- J. Ramesh Kumar and Sunitha Surve -- on charge of perfunctory investigation into a land dispute case.

A real estate businessman Mastan Rao had allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in a flat in Kukatpally police station area in the second week of May.

Harassment alleged

A suicide note purportedly written by him stated that the Madhapur police harassed him in a land dispute case in the name of investigation.

Disciplinary action was initiated against the two SIs as they had probed the case.
