CHENNAI: Fifteen-year-old Anjali Chandrashekhar, a student of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, won the first prize for her slogan “Protect nature’s mystery, before it becomes history” chosen from 765 entries received for an environment slogan contest conducted by Hotel Accord Metropolitan as part of World Environment Day. K. Anirudh Vardhan of Boston Matriculation wrote “Nature is full of beauty, to save it is our duty”, which won the second prize. The third prize went to Shruthi Subramanian of PSBB for her slogan “Prevent pollution or future will become illusion” and Kendriya Vidyalaya student S. Iyappan for the slogan “Melting of ice-cream makes me sad, melting of icebergs makes polar bear sad.” Exnora founder M.B. Nirmal and philatelist M.R.
