67 complaints received last month

CHENNAI: Chennai Metrowater will hold open house meetings at its area offices and adjacent urbanised area office between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The offices are: Area office-I (Kodungaiyur, Tondiarpet), Area office II -(Royapuram, Washermanpet), Area office -III (Perambur, Vysarpadi), Area office –IV (Kilpauk, Ayanavaram), Area office-V (Anna Nagar, Mogappair), Area office –VI (Chepauk, Triplicane), Area office –VII (Chetpet, Nungambakkam), Area office –VIII (T.Nagar, Kodambakkam), Area office-IX (Saidapet, Kotturpuram), Area office X A- (Alwarpet, Mylapore) and Area office X B (Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur and Velachery).

The adjacent urbanised area office catering to various localities, including Mogappair East and Anna Nagar West Extension, is located on T.S.Krishna Nagar Main Road at Mogappair.

Consumers may visit the respective area offices of their locality on Saturday to record their complaints on water supply and sewage removal. They can also clarify doubts pertaining to sewerage tax and water charges during the meeting.

Superintending engineers have also been instructed to chair the meetings in their areas, said a press release. A total of 67 complaints about problems in water supply and sewage disposal were received at the meetings held last month. Of this, 59 complaints have been rectified and measures were being taken to solve the problems cited in the remaining eight, the release said.
