Youths killed in accident

SENTHAMANGALAM: Two youths, both relatives, were killed on the spot when their two-wheeler hit against a car on Gandhipuram Road near here on Thursday.

Police said that the deceased were identified as Madhavan (26) and Gandhirajan (21).

The car driver was arrested. Police have registered a case in this connection and further investigation is on.

Salesman suspended

Joint Registrar of Cooperatives Jogi ordered the suspension Ramalingam, a salesman, of a fair price shop for the misappropriation of money to the tune of Rs. 20,000.

Sources aid that the fraud came to light when officials carried out an inspection at the fair price shop at Naduvalur near Attur. Further investigation is on.
