Murder case solved

Sangareddy: Medak police cracked the mystery surrounding the murder of a BSNL employee Habibullah a native of Pulivendula here in the Bank Colony. Addressing the press here on Friday the Superintendent of Police Mohammad Iqbal said that one Zia befriended the victim, who with his friend Sarfraz attacked Habibullah on May 8 at his residence and killed him. -Staff Reporter

5 killed in accident

Sangareddy: Five contract labourers were killed and three injured in an accident involving an autorickshaw and a truck on National Highway 9 in front of the MRF factory near Sadasivapet. The deceased were identified as G. Krishna (20), Adivaiah (25), Venkat (25),Praveen Kumar (25) and Khaja Pasha (28). -Staff Reporter

8 injured in clash

Sangareddy: Eight persons received injuries when groups from two neighbouring villages clashed in the arid Narayankhed mandal on Friday. The problems started when people from two tribal hamlets of Ryakal village, Pulugu and Challagidda started claiming the only water scheme available in the vicinity as their own. -Staff Reporter
