NEW DELHI: Leading jewellery traders of the Capital have set up a consumer helpline to educate Delhiites about the various aspects of the purity, standard and pricing of jewels. According to Jewellery Trade and Consumer Welfare Forum Director Vijay Verma, the helpline – 45000777 (30 lines) – will educate consumers on how to buy jewellery, gold, diamond, silver, precious and semi-precious stones. “Jewellery traders will work closely with agencies of the Delhi Government to ensure fair and transparent jewellery trade, particularly during festivals when a number of complaints and irregularities are found,” he added. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
