Medak DCC introspects

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: With the Congress cadre accusing the in-charge Ministers for the dismal performance in the recently concluded byelections, the awareness meeting on loan waiver to farmers here on Tuesday for the party cadre turned into a session of introspection. It all started with Prabhakar, the Sarpanches Forum representative from Jinnaram mandal asking why the three Ministers J. Geetha Reddy, Mohd. Fariduddin and Damodar Rajnarsimha belonging to the district never visited the constituencies immediately after severing ties with the coalition partner Telangana Rashtra Samiti. He alleged that the customary approach of the Ministers resulted in the defeat of all the three Congress candidates in the elections. Expressing similar sentiment, Vithal Reddy, the Congress candidate of Ramayampet, attributed his defeat to groups in the local cadre.

Blame on coalition

Blaming coalition politics for the weakening of cadre, Minister for School Education Damodar Rajnarsimha, who was in-charge of Siddipet Assembly segment, said that he would rather prefer Congress fighting alone to keep the cadre intact. Medak DCC president Suresh Kumar Shetkar announced that soon he would appoint in-charges to all the 10 Assembly segments.
