ABVP flays private schools

TIRUPATI: Work in the private schools here on Thursday hit following a bandh called by the ABVP to register their protest against the uncontrolled ‘fleecing’ of the gullible public by the school managements.

Students took out a rally through the town touching en route almost all the private schools and later held a ‘kneel down’ in public at the busy Nalagukalla Mandapam as a symbolic protest against the government’s failure to rein in the schools. The ABVP cadres led by its Chittoor district Secretary, M. Parasuramudu regretted that the committee specially constituted by the government to regulate their fees structure was also looking the other way and letting the schools have a ‘free run’.
