Unbeaten century by Aron

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An unbeaten century by Aron (135 not out) enabled Rovers CC to score a six-wicket win over Murugan CC in the Canara Bank-TDCA ‘A’ division cricket league here on Saturday.

Batting first, Murugan CC, aided by half-centuries from Gireesh (61) and Mahesh (50) posted a challenging score of 227 before being dismissed in the 43rd over. In reply, Rovers CC rode on Aron’s century to reach the target in the 42nd over.

The scores: Murugan 227 in 42.4 overs (Gireesh 61, Mahesh 50, Vinod five for 52) lost to Rovers 228 for four in 41.3 overs (Aron 135 not out).
