Tributes paid to Soviet Army

NEW DELHI: Glowing tributes were paid to the sacrifices of the Soviet Army and the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War (1941-45) by speakers at a function organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture here this past week.

The occasion also marked the opening of an art and documentary exhibition comprising war photographs and painting reproductions by Byelorussian artist Mikhail Savitskiy.
