Function in honour of woman cosmonaut

NEW DELHI: The Russian Centre of Science and Culture and Nehru Planetarium jointly organised a special function here on Tuesday dedicated to the space flight by the world’s first woman cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova.

RCSC Deputy Director Sergey V. Cherkas said: “Valentina Tereshkova has won a pride of place in the hearts and minds of people as the world’s first woman cosmonaut.” A photo exhibition on the space flight was also inaugurated.
