Man remanded to judicial custody

New Delhi: A 19-year-old man, who claimed to be mentally-challenged, was remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody by a city court for allegedly snatching a mobile phone of a woman Delhi Police constable. Metropolitan Magistrate Sameer Vajpayee sent Ashish, a resident of Sarojini Nagar here, to jail till July nine.

According to the FIR, the accused who on June 25 had gone to meet his paternal aunt in the same area, was caught while he was trying to flee after snatching the mobile phone of a lady constable.
