MLA alleges diversion of soyabean seed, fertilizer

ADILABAD: Sirpur MLA (Congress) Koneru Konappa on Thursday demanded an inquiry into the alleged diversion of subsidised soyabean seed and fertilizer meant for his constituency.

He accused officials of the Agriculture Department of misuse of the seed and fertilizer allotted to his constituency. The MLA came to the agriculture office and urged Joint Director of Agriculture C. Sayanna to give details of the quantum of allocation of soyabean seed and fertilizer allocated to his constituency as well details of disbursal. He waited for over an hour at the office but the officials could not supply the details.
