Coimbatore: The second round of the 11th JK Tyre National racing championship will be held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam this weekend. Apart from standard races in Formula Rolon Chevrolet and Formula LGB Swift classes, the championship will also witness, for the first time ever, the endurance races in Indian formula racing. Titled the JK Tyre National Enduro Championship, this event will feature the Formula LGB Hyundai vehicles. The race will be run for duration of 90 minutes with two drivers per car. And, each will drive not more than 22 minutes at a stretch. The championship will also see the Race Star saloon cars (upto 1400cc carburetted engines) and the Super Saloon cars (on a cc to weight ratio of 1:1.75) in action. Adding to the excitement will be the participation of India’s international riders in the super bikes category. Some of the high profile teams in the championship are Speed NK Racing, WSRF with Leela, Rams Racing, Prime Racing, Amaron with Meco, Red Rooster and Meco Racing.
