Semifinalists spotted

THANJAVUR: Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tiruvananthapuram and Kottayam entered the semifinals of the LIC South zone inter-division volleyball tournament here on Thursday.

Cricket trials

At Tirunelveli, the Tirunelveli District Cricket Association will conduct trials for the selection of the Tirunelveli district under-16 and 14 teams at Sankarnagar at 2.30 p.m. on July 2.

Those born on or after September 1, 1992 (u-16) and on or after September 1, 1994 (u-14) are eligible.
