Spain beats Argentina

ROTTERDAM: Spain defeated Argentina 2-1 in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament on Wednesday.

Spain jumped to the top of table with Argentina at seven points each but ahead on goal difference, and both have a game in hand.

The Netherlands has six points, while Australia and Germany have four each. South Korea is yet to open its account.

The result: Spain 2 (Freixa 22, 44) bt Argentina 1 (Callioni 5). — AP
