Slum-dwellers launch indefinite dharna

The Slum-dwellers Welfare Union commenced an indefinite dharna near Siddhartha Nagar in the city on Thursday demanding that the Government take over the 9.5 acres of land which the union had alleged was being handed over to a bogus housing society at the behest of an MLA and file cases under SC and ST Atrocities Act against followers of the MLA who allegedly attacked Dalit women of the slum in the past.
