Big win for Adambakkam

Chennai: P.J. Varadaraman and S. Vignesh scored half-centuries to take Adambakkam CC to a seven-wicket win over Southern Railway Institute in the Kancheepuram District Cricket Association I division league here recently.

I division: Southern Railway Institute, Tambaram 176 for eight in 30 overs (Graham Mark James 65, A.C. Prathiban four for 53) lost to Adambakkam CC 177 for three in 27.4 overs (P.J. Varadaraman 51, S. Vignesh 61).

II division: Asian Sports Club 101 for six in 20 overs (Vignesh Raj four for 28) bt Kasturi Estates RC 84 in 17.2 overs (Vignesh Raj 43, S. Ashwath five for 30).

Chromepet CC 158 for six in 20 overs (Venkatesh 63 not out) bt Prahlad CC 111 in 18.2 overs (Akshay four for 28).

Jain Combines CC 107 in 19.5 overs (S. Sanjay 40, Sanjay four for 29) lost to Engine Valves RC 108 for two in 13 overs (H. Satish Babu 43, T. Srinivasan 40).

Syndicate Bank RC 104 in 20 overs (N. Ravichandran six for 42) lost to Palavanthangal CC 105 for three in 16 overs (Satheesh 51 not out).

Bharath CC 94 in 20 overs lost to Facit Asia RC 96 for two in 11 overs.
