VISAKHAPATNAM: A staff member of the District Education Office allegedly issued recognition certificate to a private school without proper authority. According to Three Town CI Ranga Raju, the accused, Y. Vinay Mohan, had allegedly collected money from the school located at Kancharapalem and issued a certificate when it began operations in 2003. Three years later, when the management approached him for issue of recognition, he again collected some money and issued the certificate. Last year, when the management representative met him for other certificate, Vinay Mohan told them that the management representatives need not come to the DEO’s office and he would deliver the certificate at the school. Sensing foul play, management representative Mr. Srinivas approached the Regional Joint Director (RJD) and the DEO but failed to get a proper response from them. Mr. Srinivas lodged a complaint with the Three Town Police. Mr. Ranga Raju said a clarification would be sought from the RJD based on which action would be initiated against the accused. Man counselledThe Three Town police are counselling a man, who has been allegedly ill-treating his wife. The accused, an employee in a court, had allegedly been indulging in homo-sexual activities at his house and had reportedly forced his wife also into the illegal activity, according to the complaint lodged by the woman.
