Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Congress (Jacob) has launched its first agitation programme since rejoining the United Democratic Front by organising an indefinite fast in front of the Secretariat demanding the withdrawal of the controversial Class 7 social science textbook. The Kerala Congress (Jacob) leader Johnny Nellore and the party working chairman Oommen Mathew launched their hunger stir on Thursday and continued here on Friday. Mr. T.M. Jacob inaugurated the hunger strike.
