Calicut keeps title

VISAKHAPATNAM: Calicut retained the Sports Authority of India South Zone inter-STC basketball title with an all-win record in the four-team round-robin tournament which concluded at the Port indoor stadium here late on Saturday evening.

Kurnool runner-up

Kurnool STC, formed seven months ago, finished runner-up while last year’s runner-up Salem was third.

On the occasion, the district basketball association felicitated M.S. Raju, S. Bhaskar, Mathew D. Cruz, R. Chinna Reddy and Dr. Chelikani Stalin.

The results: Calicut bt Salem 70-42; Kurnool bt Mayiladuthurai 74-58.

Calicut bt Kurnool 55-18; Salem bt Myladuthurai 59-41; Calicut bt Myladuthurai 65-25.
