In this glittering world of jewels, diamonds will always hold their own. The designs keep changing, but the stone can never go out of vogue. Take, for instance, Chennai Diamonds’ new Royal Collection, which is all about expression.

“Trends keep changing, and our Royal Collection is our way of incorporating diamonds into current fashion,” says Reenu Jain, owner. Consisting of three sets of jewellery, the Royal Collection is a designer line targeted at the high-end segment. Prices start at Rs. 6,45,000.

Each necklace flaunts several hundred diamonds of high caratage. The first set is a heavy diamond necklace with a whopping 1,138 diamonds. Set in gold, this is meant for bridal wear. The second set is inspired by nature with an intricate pattern of leaves and flowers set in white gold. Best suitable for evening wear, this piece contains 646 diamonds. The third set, with 1,080 diamonds, has an antique finish, and is inlaid with diamonds and large square-cut emeralds.
