Srikakulam takes lead

VISAKHAPATNAM: Srikakulam managed to take a slender lead of five runs in the first innings over East Godavari in the under-22 inter-district cricket tournament for the P.V. Krishnamurty Trophy at Kakinada on Sunday.

In another match, Vizianagaram was all out for 76 in 46.5 overs in its first innings. In reply, Visakhapatnam was 142 for two in 41 overs at close.

The scores: East Godavari 119 in 40.1 overs (K. Ravishankar 38, Avinash five for nine) & 12 for no loss vs. Srikakulam 124 in 38.2 overs (A. Karthik 42, K. Ravishankar four for 13, N. Venkatesh three for 15); Vizianagaram 76 in 46.5 overs vs. Visakhapatnam 142 for two in 41 overs (Kranthi Kumar 46, J.T. Yadav 64 batting).
