ROTTERDAM: Australia thrashed Spain 4-1 to win the men’s field hockey Champions Trophy here on Sunday. It was Australia’s ninth triumph, tying it for most titles won with Germany. Argentina drew 2-2 with the Netherlands in regular time and then won a penalty shoot-out 5-3 to finish third. Earlier, Germany scored twice in the last ten minutes to beat South Korea 3-1 to claim fifth place.
