Arun, Hema Priya win

CHENNAI: J. Arun (Velammal MHS School) and N. Hema Priya (Vidyodhaya MHS School) won the Chennai District junior (under-19) chess championship which concluded here on Saturday.

Final Placings:

Boys: 1. J.Arun (Velammal) 4; 2. M.M. Anand Raj (SSN Engg College) 3; 3. Subash A. Ragupathy (DAV Mogappair) 3; 4. P.B. Srinivasan (Sri Venkateswara Engg College ) 3.

Girls: 1. N. Hema Priya (Vidyodhaya) 3; 2. M. Mahalakshmi (Velammal MHS School) 3; 3. Michelle Catherina (Good Shepherd) 3; 4. R. Gomathy (St. Joseph’s Engg. College) 3.
