Letters to the Editor
The picture of JKLF chairman Yasin Malik shielding a policeman from angry protesters in Srinagar (June 29) is heart-warming. At a time when everything in the State is being viewed along communal lines and leaders who are not pro-India are branded terrorist, the picture comes as a whiff of fresh air. Anyone who has read Mr. Malik’s Open Letter, published by The Hindu on May 9, 2007, to Atal Bihari Vajpayee will agree that he is no demon. He is, in fact, a person of abundant wisdom.
